The GF collection made from plastic collected from coastlines, islands, beaches and rivers. After the launch of the RECO range and its subsequent expansion, the FOR OCEAN project aims to present the Unconventional range in a unique and ecological way.

WHAT IS THE "FOR OCEAN" COLLECTION?

The FOR OCEAN collection is a selection of GF products made from +50 and +80%* ocean-bound recycled plastic: plastic waste (especially bottles) collected from coastlines, islands and rivers, and transformed into new raw material.

*percentage calculated on the weight of the product excluding the tube (when present) and varies according to the product.

WHAT IS OCEAN-BOUND PLASTIC?

It is defined as plastic waste ‘at risk of ending up in the ocean’ (it is estimated that Ocean Bound Plastic OBP, accounts for 80% of plastic marine litter). Specifically, it is divided into 3 categories by the OBP certification:

1/ Plastic waste not properly collected and placed within 50 km from the coast.

2/ Plastic waste not properly collected and placed within 200 m of or in rivers.

3/ Plastic waste not properly collected and placed within 200 m of the banks.

DISCOVER THE JOURNEY OF PLASTICS

#TIDE tracks the flow of material at every stage of the journey. From the moment a plastic waste from the ocean is collected to the moment the recycled plastic granules are shipped to customers. All this data, including photos, volumes and information on processing steps, is saved on the blockchain to ensure maximum transparency and security.
